Bonjour fellow travelers and bienvenue to enchanting Paris, France. Love comes naturally in this romantic city where more than 28 million tourists visit annually. The city provides some of the most fascinating monuments in the world along with French cuisine distinguished by its diversity. Paris is a constant source of discovery where you could visit a museum every day for a year and still not be able to see all exhibits. Every visitor here will experience how Paris grabs a hold of their heart and has them craving to return.
Let’s begin our adventure by arriving at “Our Lady of Paris,” otherwise known as Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Referred to as the heart and soul of the city, this breathtaking church exemplifies architectural charm at its finest. Intricate stained glass windows and sculpted portals decorate the Cathedral inside and out. If you have had your café for the day, travel up 387 steps to the top of the tower to experience eclectic statues of gargoyles and chimera.
Next we take a scenic stroll over the right bank of the Seine to The Musee du Louvre. Open to public since 1793, there are more than 30,000 treasures held inside. The museum itself houses pieces from renowned artists including Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Michelangelo. The most efficient way to discover this colossal museum is by taking a “best of the Louvre” tour offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.
At the end of our day we find ourselves only a short metro ride to our final destination. As we come face to face with a symbol weighing over 7,300 tons and 1,062 feet high, the sun begins to set lighting the magnificent silhouette known as The Eiffel Tower. Over 20,000 lights sparkle for ten minutes an hour each evening highlighting its impressive steelwork. Conclude your journey by traveling to the tower’s observation deck and gaze out over magnificent views of all of Paris.
